Supplies List: 4 yards Steam-A-Seam fusible - lightweight is not appropriate for this project - enough to back leaves and floral fabric Ruby-be-holder (red viewer) is useful in selecting fabric values Fabric: (multi-colored batiks and hand dyes are ideal for this project) Background: 1 yard light for solid or fold & stitch backgrounds, 6 - 7 fat quarters for pieced background of your choice to a finished size no smaller than 22” x 26” Wreath: 3-4 fat quarters various shades/values greens for foliage 7-9 fat quarters various floral shades Boarder:1 yard Welting and binding: 1yard Back: 1 ½ yard Batting: 1 yard cotton and 3/4 yard high loft batting - large enough to cover wreath area Clover Thread Tweezers - 3” long with a flat bird-beak hook Clover Mini Iron - optional but real handy Press cloth - may need more than one Iron to press fusible to fabrics Water soluble thread Thread for needle and bobbin to match background and/or boarder Size 90/14 top stitch needle Free motion (darning) foot, 1/4” foot Sewing machine in good working order with free motion capability Machingers quilt gloves or Lickity Grip® Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler - pinking blade (optional) Scissors to trim high loft bat, you may not want to use your good scissors for this Fabric scissors, pinking sheers (optional) Hand needle, thread, and thimble to sew embellishments Buttons and beads in various sizes and shapes and colors Two fabrics (fat quarter size) and batting sandwiched to practice free motion stitching
